Meant to say,
Just back from Egypt and was diving with Aquarius for the 4th time. They are a PADI 5 star Gold Palm organisation with centres in Sharm, Hurgahda and Marsa Alam. The area manager in Sharm Iain, is from the Midlands, UK and he's asked me to make you aware that Aquarius can organise or tailor just about any type of Red Sea excursion you'd want. They can provide liveaboards, day boats, accommodation, airport transfers and they will always provide guides and take you to some excellent dives away from the 'tourist diver' trail.
Ian would like to link-in with Scottish/UK clubs and guarantees that he'll provide an excellent discount for all clubs as well as providing some extras as well. Even if you're going to Egypt as an individual and not travelling as a club, Ian will discount your diving bill by 10% and will arrange free pick-ups and transfers to dive centres in your resort.
Aquarius are looking to develop some pages which they can link to Diversinc which will provide unique info specifically directed towards clubs and club members.
If you're interested, post something on the DIVERSINC Forum and/or join the text messaging service and I'll make sure all info is forwarded to you.
By the way, there ain't any catch, it's zero profit venture for DIVERSINC. The business case here centres around growth in numbers which should benefit everyone.
Basically what's had a huge impact in dive centres in the Red Sea is that TUI (Thomson, First Choice and some others) have bought 'Ocean College' dive centres, and are referring all their holiday makers there. This has created a vacuum in the market. So it means that other dive centres are having to be more proactive about how they attract business. (Regardless of this, Ocean College prices were considerably higher than just about all it's main competitors. But they're catching tourists at the welcome meetings and that's contributing to the impact on other operators).
